La Feé

France

Parisienne Absinthe Supérieure

All-natural ingredients and colour (macerated herbs), distilled in France. Central ingredient being Grand Absinthe (Artemisia absinthium) and having a classic strength of 68% ABV. La Fée is distilled using three artemisia plants at its heart: Grand (Artemisia absinthium) & Petit Absinthe (Artemisia pontica) and Genepi (Genepi Artemisia), Green and Star Anise, Fennel, Hyssop and Coriander.

Nose: On opening the bottle, the bouquet is much stronger than the wormwood-free substitutes like Herbsaint, it has an almost fruity, woody smell.

Palate: It has a black-licorice (anise) flavor to be certain, but not as prominently as some other brands. The wormwood flavor takes on a whole new character. It isn't bitter at all, but there is a very deep woody flavor. It is reminiscent of chocolate, but with none of its sweetness.

Finish: It has a dominating anise finish, and leaves a strong, lingering dry anise on the tongue.
